“COWBOY’S DELIGHT"

YODEL!!! YODEL!!! I JUST HAD TO WRITE A SONG
WHERE I COULD YODEL!!!!I LOVE YODELING!

In my experience, it is funny how songs come about sometimes. I had been through one of those emotional phases, one like I am certain every one of you have experienced at one time or another when the whole world seems so dark. Then, during a rehearsal (oh yes, I practice almost everyday, on the piano, or the guitar, or just vocals, but I constantly practice,) anyway, I found myself yodeling, and just being crazy. Suddenly I had this chorus going…”I’m my cowboy’s delight tonight…. Yoodle e o ee”

IS A YOODLE A YODEL?

I did not know how to spell yodel at the time I wrote the song… I am sorry to say– it should be yodel, y-o-d-e-l, oh well, it is registered now as y-o-o-d-l-e. Remind me next time to use the spelling check that I have on my computer . . . But back to the song, this fantasy world was in my head, of a woman really happy with her marriage and her life.

THIS SONG IS ABOUT A VERY HAPPY COUPLE! IT WAS A FANTASY FOR ME AT THE TIME I WROTE IT.

The husband works hard all day so she can be home with the kids where she works just as hard. And, they have a unity ……a bond…always… and their passion runs like a wild river. Their playtime is passionate and that love has brought them a house full of kids … they are living life. Being one as two people is an accomplishment that these people have. They go to the bar; they have drinks; they dance; and they make love when they get home. Life is good. They do not have a lot of money, but they have a world of riches beyond any material gold. Their children are safe and are free to laugh and play. Oh, my, yes, at the time it was all a fantasy. But guess what????? You will never guess!!!

Alright I will tell you. Other than all the little children running around, Michael, you all have to know who he is to me now, my fiancée and true partner in life, we have that kind of love. MY FANTASY CAME TRUE!!!! Yes, I tell you, life has love to offer. I have a life today that I never imagined possible; one I thought I would only read about in a romance novel. Well, love exists. There he was one day. You just have to be willing to be free to search it out, and when things are bad around you, make a change. God cannot bring you the good things, if you are surrounded by bad. So, anyway, don’t let me go there. No! No! But, You have to let go of bad things to get the good ones!

Anyway, back to this fantasy piece. The next thing that happened with this song was I wanted to create a world with the vocabulary……takin’, puttin’, country, fun. And I wanted a bonding between verses, lyrically and musically, while telling a story.

WITH MY WORDS I TRIED TO TAKE YOU TO A WORLD OF “FUN”!

Well, and the music I wanted to be Cajun like, the kind you sweat to when you dance. The yodeling, well, I had just heard some music from the Sweetheart’s of the Rodeo…..and it was awesome. I thought that is the cincher, put a tag on each chorus of yodeling.. Oh, and the guy……..the cowboy, is a real cowboy. This guy rides bulls, he has been in the rodeo, and they go to every bull riding, event they can. He is a man’s man guy! And, his girl, his woman, well, she is a lady, and she loves and adores him and all their children. And, oh yes, he treats her like a fairy tale princess. Isn’t this a great story????.

I LOVE TO WATCH PEOPLE DANCING TO THIS SONG!!!

In our music video, yet to be made, we plan to film a rodeo cowboy. Rodeo people love the song!!!

THE GUY I CREATED IN THE SONG IS A “REAL RODEO COWBOY!”

I can hardly wait to make the piece. We will keep you posted when and where we will be making it. And, for today, I hope you have all had fun, and that this song will bring to you a light heart…..revealing your own inward passions, whatever they may be.

Love,
